A 1960 Population Model Pegged Nov. 13, 2026 as ‘Doomsday’
In 1960, mathematician Heinz von Foerster and colleagues published a population-growth model in the journal Science that mathematically blew up to “infinity,” a result that later got pinned to Nov. 13, 2026 as an overpopulation doomsday. Today, with the world at about 8.3 billion
