Satellites from the public catalog, shown on the 3D globe. Dedicated pass-prediction sites remain best for a single location; the advantage here is seeing orbits next to flights, launches, news and hazards.
Predicted orbits, not radar tracks
Positions are predicted from published orbital elements (TLEs) using the SGP4 model. They are not live radar or telemetry. Close-approach (conjunction) data from CelesTrak SOCRATES is a separate Pro layer.
How to use this view
- Launch in 3D with Satellites on.
- Click a satellite for its name and catalog number.
- Use the ISS or Starlink pages if that is what you are looking for.
- Switch off other layers so the orbits are easy to see.
Data source, update rate, and limits
Orbital elements come from CelesTrak and are refreshed hourly. Positions are computed from those elements. The satellite layer is free; Starlink and ISS passes are Plus, and conjunctions are Pro.
Predictions drift as elements age, and maneuvers appear only after new elements are published. Objects that are not in the public catalog do not appear.
Questions
Is this real-time radar?
No. Positions are calculated from public orbital elements, which is accurate enough for visualization but not a direct measurement.
Can I see satellites over me tonight?
Zoom to your city with Satellites on. For a specific bright object such as the ISS, the ISS passes layer (Plus) or a dedicated pass predictor gives viewing times.
Where is Starlink?
The Starlink tracker page opens that constellation. The Starlink layer is part of GodsView Plus.
Do you track space debris?
Cataloged debris appears if it is in the public element sets. Conjunction data (Pro) shows predicted close approaches, but it is not a collision-avoidance service.
Why use this instead of a specialist site?
Specialist sites go deeper on passes and orbits. GodsView is useful when you want a launch, a storm and an orbit on the same map.
