Europe and the Middle East
These regions account for much of the recent reporting, especially around the Baltic, the Black Sea and the eastern Mediterranean. A saved Europe view has its own URL; for the Middle East, pan the map.
How to use this view
- Launch with GPS jamming and Aircraft on.
- Read the interference zone, then look at the flights around it.
- Avoid attributing interference to a specific actor from the map alone.
Data source, update rate, and limits
The layer combines known interference zones with aviation SIGMETs that mention GPS or GNSS interference, and refreshes about every 5 minutes. It does not estimate interference from individual aircraft signals.
Zones are approximate and reports can lag events. Jamming and spoofing are often reported under the same heading. This is not an electronic-warfare picture or a navigation tool.
Questions
Is the GPS jamming map live?
It is updated about every 5 minutes from interference zones and aviation SIGMETs, so it reflects reported interference rather than a live spectrum measurement.
Why show it with flights?
Pilots experience GNSS interference as degraded satellite navigation, so seeing traffic around a reported zone gives useful context.
Does it separate spoofing from jamming?
Only when the source report does. Many reports use the terms loosely, so the map treats them conservatively.
Can I use this for flight planning?
No. Use official NOTAMs, SIGMETs and your operator’s procedures.
Is the layer free?
Check the Layers panel. Layers marked Plus or Pro need that plan (the GPS jamming layer is part of Plus); this explanation is free to read.
