How to use this view

  1. Launch in 3D. Wait for the shell to populate.
  2. Zoom to your latitude if you came to spot a train.
  3. Turn other Earth layers off.

Data source, update rate, and limits

Public Starlink TLEs. Positions are propagated, not GPS from each bus.

Not a coverage-quality map for your street. Not SpaceX status.

Questions

Why so many dots?

That is the constellation. A “train” is a temporary launch cluster.

Can I see them tonight?

After sunset or before dawn, look along the predicted path. Weather still wins.

Does this show outages?

No. Use Starlink’s own status for service. We plot orbits.

Is Premium required?

The basic globe is free. Heavier dense modes may be gated because they are expensive to draw.

Are these collisions?

Conjunction layers are separate. Dots near each other on a 2D screen are not a crash.
