Why a World Desk Has Stock and Crypto Candles
I did not build a brokerage. I got tired of flipping from a fire map to a finance tab to see whether the story even registered. So the World desk carries a short tape: indexes, a few names, BTC and ETH. Click one and you get candles, not a speech.
How I use it
A wire hits. I glance at the tape. If SPY has not flinched and BTC is doing its own thing, the story is still local. If the tape is already red and the headline is about a strait, I open the globe and look at AIS before I write a word.
Candles tell you the last few sessions. They do not tell you why. The map is for why.
What the bars mean, quickly
- Green body: close above open. Red: the other way.
- Wicks are the high and low. A long upper wick after a spike is people fading the move.
- 1D is the session. 1M is the mood. I do not live in 3M unless I am writing a recap.
