How to Track a Ship by MMSI Number
MMSI is the nine-digit identity ships use on AIS. Search it with the Vessels layer on so results are not buried under unrelated layers. If the ship is transmitting and in range, the map will center on it.
No result usually means the vessel is dark, out of range, or the MMSI is outdated. Try a name search or a commercial tracker when the shipment is business-critical.
