Track a flight

Type a flight number from a ticket or a booking email, such as BA117 or UA 901, and see where the plane is right now on a live map. The flight page shows the departure and arrival airports, terminal and gate when the airline publishes them, the scheduled, estimated and actual times, any delay, and how far the plane still has to go. Every flight has a short link you can send to family so they can watch it land.

How it works

Enter a flight number, an airline callsign (BAW117) or an aircraft registration. GodsView maps the airline code to the callsign the aircraft broadcasts, finds it in the live feed, and joins the schedule for that day.

The status updates on its own: scheduled, boarding, departed, in the air, landed or arrived, and cancelled or diverted when that happens. The map shows the path flown so far and the remaining distance.

Share the page and anyone with the link sees the same live view, with no sign-in. With a GodsView Pro account you can also follow a flight and get an alert on takeoff, landing, a delay of 15 minutes or more, a gate change, a cancellation or a diversion.

Where the data comes from

Live positions come from ADS-B receivers. Routes come from public callsign databases. Gates, terminals and delays come from a commercial flight-schedule provider, checked more often as departure gets closer. Each field shows only what a source reported; if the airline has not published a gate yet, the page says so.

Questions

Why can I not find my flight?

Check the flight number on the ticket, or try the operating airline's number if the flight was sold by a partner airline. Flights more than a day away may have no gate or aircraft yet.

How accurate is the position?

Over land with receiver coverage it is usually a few seconds old. Over oceans the plane can drop out of coverage for a while and reappear.

Do I need the app?

No. The page works in any browser. The GodsView app adds push alerts.
