Best Live OSINT Maps in 2026: Compared

There is no single best live OSINT map. The right one depends on whether you want a hosted map, a news dashboard, a photoreal globe you run yourself, or a specialist tracker.

Key takeaways

  • Hosted multi-layer maps (GodsView, Argos Atlas) suit people who want flights, ships, hazards and cameras without installing anything.
  • World Monitor is the strongest pick for AI-assisted news and geopolitical dashboards; Liveuamap for fast conflict-event pins.
  • God's Eye View and OSIRIS are open source; God's Eye View stands out for its photoreal 3D globe you run locally.
  • Specialists such as Flightradar24, ADS-B Exchange and MarineTraffic still go deepest on a single domain.

Short answer: for a hosted, no-install map that combines flights, ships, satellites, hazards, cameras and an incident register, look at GodsView AI or Argos Atlas. For AI-summarized geopolitical news dashboards, World Monitor is the most developed. For a photoreal 3D globe you run on your own machine, God's Eye View leads. For quick conflict-event pins, Liveuamap. For depth in one domain, use specialists like Flightradar24, ADS-B Exchange or MarineTraffic.

We make GodsView, so we have tried to keep this fair: every third-party fact below was checked against the provider's own site or repository on October 20, 2026, and each tool is matched to the people it serves best rather than ranked by fiat.

If you are new to the topic, what is OSINT? explains the method these maps support.

The tools in detail

GodsView AI

GodsView AI is a hosted web app: open it in a browser and the live world map loads with no install, no API keys and no sign-in needed to view. It offers a 2D map and a 3D globe. Free layers include ADS-B aircraft (OpenSky Network first, then adsb.lol and adsb.fi, refreshing about every 10 seconds), AIS ships, CelesTrak satellite orbits, USGS earthquakes, NASA FIRMS fires, weather and a news feed. The Ops Center, free to view, merges reports of the same event from many sources and scores each incident 0–100, with CSV/JSON export and a video wall for live news and public cameras.

Limits to know: the free tier shows banner ads, pauses live viewing after 30 minutes (reload to continue), allows one AI question per day and opens two public cameras. GodsView is web only, with no mobile app, no public API and no self-hosting. Every feed is listed on the methodology page.

World Monitor

World Monitor is a real-time geopolitical dashboard built around AI news aggregation. Its open-source repository, koala73/worldmonitor, is AGPL-3.0 licensed with about 88,900 stars (October 2026). Features listed there include AI-synthesized briefs, a 3D globe and flat map, a Country Instability Index, a finance radar, local AI via Ollama and a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux.

The free tier includes core panels, a global news feed, earthquake and weather alerts, a basic map and three dashboard tabs. Pro is $39.99/month or $359.99/year, Pro Business $49.99/month, and API plans start at $99.99/month (pricing). It is the stronger choice if your work is news-led analysis rather than watching aircraft and ships. Our GodsView vs World Monitor comparison goes further.

God's Eye View

God's Eye View, by Bilawal Sidhu, is an open-source photoreal 3D globe showing live aircraft, ships, satellites and public cameras. Its README lists an MIT license, and the repository had about 58,500 stars and 11,400 forks in October 2026. You run it yourself with Pinokio, Node.js 24 or 26, or Docker, then open it at localhost:4173. It starts without API keys; optional keys (Cesium ion, Google Maps, OpenAI, AISStream, FIRMS, TomTom) add photoreal tiles, the AI voice agent and more layers. Highlights include a cockpit mode, sensor-style overlays and 20+ data layers. The README also says an official hosted version is launching through Halfpixel.

It is the best fit if you want the most cinematic 3D view and are comfortable running software locally. GodsView is not affiliated with the project; see GodsView vs God's Eye View and God's Eye View alternatives.

Argos Atlas

Argos Atlas is a hosted live map that advertises 200,000+ live cameras across 190+ countries, plus ADS-B flights, AIS ships, active conflict frontlines, infrastructure, natural hazards and geolocated prediction markets. It cites sources such as USGS, NASA, the WHO, GeoConfirmed, GDELT and UCDP. A free account is required.

Paid plans are priced in euros: OUTPOST €15.99/month (€44.99 for 12 months), DISTRICT €56.99/month, DIVISION €199/month with 10 seats, AGENCY €1,049.99/month, and a €3.99 24-hour pass (pricing). It suits people who want the largest camera catalog and market overlays. See GodsView vs Argos Atlas.

Liveuamap

Liveuamap puts breaking news and conflict events on a map, each with a short description, source link and often photos or video. Its iOS app offers a $1.99 monthly subscription that removes ads and adds map features, per its App Store listing. It is fast and focused; read how live conflict maps work for how to weigh early reports, and Liveuamap alternatives for other options.

OSIRIS

OSIRIS is an open-source OSINT dashboard covering flights, maritime, satellites, CCTV feeds, weather and cyber-threat layers, alongside recon tools. The simplifaisoul/osiris repository is MIT licensed with about 11,100 stars (October 2026). It appeals to technical users who want network and domain tools next to the map.

Where specialist trackers are better

General OSINT maps trade depth for breadth. If one domain is your whole job, a specialist usually wins.

  • Flightradar24 offers a free tier with ads and Silver, Gold and Business subscriptions; in the US App Store, Silver starts at $2.99/month, and prices vary by country (App Store). See Flightradar24 alternatives.
  • ADS-B Exchange aggregates data from more than 25,000 volunteer receivers and displays aircraft broadcasts as received, with a free public map (adsbexchange.com). It was acquired by JETNET in January 2023 (JETNET).
  • MarineTraffic, acquired by Kpler in 2023 (gCaptain), offers free AIS tracking in coastal coverage, with in-app upgrades for satellite AIS (App Store).

How much do live OSINT maps cost?

Every tool here has a free way in. Paid plans differ mostly in who they are built for: individuals, teams, or developers who need an API. All prices below are as listed by each provider in October 2026 and can change.

Where GodsView is the better fit

GodsView is built for people who want many live domains in one hosted place without setup:

  • Breadth on the free tier: flights, ships, satellites, earthquakes, fires, weather and news, with no sign-in to view.
  • Incident triage: the free-to-view Ops Center merges duplicate reports, scores severity and exports CSV/JSON.
  • Alerts and watch areas (Pro): takeoff and landing, emergency squawks 7500/7600/7700, vessel arrivals, military aircraft entering an area, M4.5+ quakes and more, by in-app, browser push or email.
  • Price: Pro is $10.99/month, $99.99/year or $199.99 lifetime (October 2026).

It is a weaker fit if you need an API, self-hosting, a mobile app, or the deepest single-domain history.

Many analysts use two or three: a broad map for context, a specialist for depth, and a curated source for verification.

What no live OSINT map can tell you

Every tool here inherits the limits of its feeds. Aircraft without ADS-B, ships with AIS off, areas with no receivers and unreported incidents all leave blank space, and early conflict reports are often revised. Check the is flight and ship tracking legal? guide before collecting data about people, and use official agencies, not maps, for safety decisions.

Where to start

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free OSINT map?

It depends on your goal. GodsView AI offers a free hosted map with flights, ships, satellites, quakes, fires, weather and news and no sign-in to view. World Monitor has a free tier focused on news dashboards. God's Eye View and OSIRIS are open source. Argos Atlas is free with an account. Liveuamap is free with ads for conflict events.

Is World Monitor free?

World Monitor has a free tier with core panels, a global news feed, earthquake and weather alerts, a basic map and three dashboard tabs. As of October 2026, Pro costs $39.99 per month or $359.99 per year, Pro Business $49.99 per month, and API plans start at $99.99 per month. Its source code is available under AGPL-3.0.

Is there a hosted version of God's Eye View?

God's Eye View is designed to run on your own machine via Pinokio, Node.js or Docker, opening at localhost:4173. As of October 2026, its README says an official hosted, browser-only version is launching through Halfpixel. GodsView AI is a separate hosted map and is not affiliated with the project; see our comparison.

Which live map shows military aircraft?

Military aircraft only appear when they broadcast ADS-B or are detected by multilateration, so no map shows all of them. ADS-B Exchange is known for displaying broadcasts as received. GodsView offers a military aircraft layer in Pro, sourced from the adsb.lol military feed. Read military aircraft tracking explained to understand what is missing.

Do you need an API key to use these maps?

Not for the hosted ones. GodsView, World Monitor's site, Argos Atlas, Liveuamap and OSIRIS run in a browser. God's Eye View starts without keys when you run it locally, but optional keys such as Cesium ion, Google Maps and OpenAI add photoreal tiles, the voice agent and extra layers, and some of those are metered.
